Police Search Home of Singer         Amy Winehouse

On November 9, four men were arrested for "perverting the course of justice" regarding a case that involves singer Amy Winhouse.  Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil was the center of attention for authorities.  They are in currently custody and being held for questioning.

Officers rummaged around the singer's Camden home for three hours while other officers stood watch outside, reported the British Press Association.   It is reported that the authorities had to break in since Winehouse and her husband were not home.

Scotland Yard reported that there was "police activity" and that this was part of an "ongoing police operation" at the property.

A spokesperson from the Yard confirmed the arrests and verified its relationship to Fielder-Civil's upcoming trial.  The 25 year old is implicated in an incident with a 39 year old.   Both face serious bodily harm charges.  No word on whether one of the four is in fact Fielder-Civil.  Only moderate details were given by the spokesperson. 

 "The only thing I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with drugs and that Amy is fine and she has not been charged or arrested," he said.

Winehouse has been under intense scrutiny as of late for her supposed erratic lifestyle.  Winehouse, her husband and another friend were arrested last month for marijuana possession.   They were later released after paying a fine.  Her family has recently spoken out about her drug abuse and struggle with bulimia.  Tabloids have posted photos of her walking with her husband in which she had bloody shoes and his face was scratched.

 Ironically, the singer's most famous tune is about rehab, which she has tried twice without success.  She has also cancelled several shows this year, citing exhaustion.
