Casey Anthony Released: Has to go into Hiding

Your Black World reports.

Casey Anthony has finally walked out of her jail cell and will be a free woman.  This is almost exactly three years from the day she was arrested for her role in the death of her two-year old daughter, Caylee.  She is expected to go into hiding to shield her from the public scrutiny her case received, as millions of Americans thought she was guilty.  In a recent Your Black World survey, 86% of the respondents felt that Anthony would surely have been found guilty had she been African American.

“We have made every effort to not provide any special treatment for her,” said Allen Moore, the spokesman for the Orange County Corrections. “She has been treated like every other inmate in her custody class.”

Moore also said that Anthony’s release had a special amount of security, due to the sensitive nature of her trial.   Her attorneys have not announced where Anthony plans to live.

Anthony was recently acquitted on charges that she murdered her daughter and neglected her.  The jury consisted of seven women and five men, only convicting her on four counts of misleading law enforcement agents investigating the case.

Anthony’s daughter’s skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near her mother’s home approximately seven months after she went missing.   Prosecutors alleged that Casey used chloroform to render her daughter unconscious and then suffocated her with duct tape.  Casey’s defense lawyers claim that Caylee’s death was an accident, that she drowned in the family pool and that Casey and her father George covered up her death.
