Jesse Jackson Jr. May Soon Face Congressional Ethics Probe

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich being found guilty on 17 of 20 corruption charges might mean the House Ethics Committee probe into allegations against Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill) could get underway soon.

Back in November, the House Ethics Committeedeferred taking any action in the Jackson matter at the request of the Justice Department. Federal officials had requested House staffers put off the matter until DOJ’s prosecution had wrapped up.

Jackson had been accused of telling one of his major campaign donors to give money to Blagojevich so the former Illinois governor would appointed Jackson to the Senate seat left empty by President Barack Obama.

Jackson was called to testify in Blagojevich’s trial, but said he didn’t know anything about the offer his supporters allegedly made to the former governor to appoint Jackson to the seat.

So what is new? When you can cheat on your black wife with the white hostess of a restaurant, it seems the apple does not fall far from the family tree…Jesse should have known that Obama would distance himself from him, Obama used all black folks in Chicago to advance his career and Jesse, Jr thought foolishly that he would be top on the list of possible candidates for the unfulfilled term of Obama…Look at how Sen Burrus was treated by the all white senate when he showed up, he was treated like the delivery boy who did not use the back door..Jesse is finding out like the rest of black mis-leadership class that they are not wanted, are not as loved as they thought, especially since the wunderkind Obama has shown up and sucked all the air out the black political and social movements…Look at all of the black members under investigation in congress: Alcee Hastings, Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel, John Conyers, etc not excusing any bad behavior they might have indulged in, but their numbers are not matching when we don’t have as many whites or other ethnicity being investigated…Are they saying that blacks are the only ones with ethical or criminal behaviors? We only have 42 blacks in a house of 535 members if we combine the 100 member senate with the 435 member congress, why are there such a high numbers of blacks being targeted with spurious allegations and investigated? I keep telling you’ll whenever you think you have reached the pinnacle of achievement, there will always be whitey to yank your chain to remind you you’re still tied to the white man’s plantation…
